Sound from nowhere.

Foxy Shazam - Count Me Out

Rock. If you ever get the chance to see them live, do it.

Andy Stott - We Stay Together (Part One)

Dub techno. One of the best descriptions of this I’ve seen was something along the lines of “It’s like listening in on the bumping party next door.”

Champion/DJ Champion - No Heaven

Rock. Anti spiritual? If you’re into that sort of thing, you may recognize this as the credits theme for Borderlands. (Stoked for Borderlands 2)

Menomena - BOTE

Indie rock. Oh, sea legs, please don’t fail me now!

Igor Stravinsky - Le sacre du printemps (The Rite of Spring)

Early 20th century classical. This is absolutely my favorite orchestral piece. When I was a little kid I was terrified of the section of Fantasia that used this. Those dinosaurs were so scary! The music itself is dramatic and goes from beautiful quiet passages, to loud dissonant crescendos. I really don’t have the words to do this justice.

Liar - Aletheia

It’s a remix of Cry Me A River, with praise on youtube such as “This song scares the everloving shit out of me.”

Future Islands - Inch of Dust

Post-punk, new wave. My favorite band. This guy’s voice is just so good.

Les Discrets - Song For Mountains

French blackened-shoegaze-postrock? I’m no expert at this. I got a signed copy of the poster of this album cover.

iTAL tEK - Deep Pools

Oldschool dubstep.
